Well I thought I'd help out all the awesome teachers out there by hosting a give away. (How awesome is Troy at Classroom Friendly Supplies to sponsor this, by the way! And he seriously responds to emails thisfast.) Please enter and spread the word.
The give away is for a sharpener in your choice of color (green, blue, red, and black) and will run until June 23 at 12 am. To enter you must “Like” Classroom Friendly Supplies on Facebook. Leave me a comment below to let me know you entered and spread the word (well, at least tell teachers near your classroom and then send your students over there if they win!). Must be a US resident to win.
And even if you aren't the big winner, you should probably just go ahead and buy a sharpener anyway. Trust me on this. They're $24.95 (with FREE shipping!) from Classroom Friendly Supplies. That's NOTHING for a little extra sanity!

I can't wait to order one for my room next year! I think I'm going with the blue or green! My pencil sharpener is absolutely terrible and my other one is WAYYYY too loud!

How did I not know about this amazing sharpener?! Between both our rooms and the tutorial, we do not have one that works...not one!! I am totally ordering one!
ReplyDeleteI'll be ordering for sure! Hope to win...then I will have two! Yay!

ReplyDeleteI entered! I bought one a few weeks back and I am anxiously waiting for it to arrive! If I win I will bless a teacher friend in my school. I hope this sharpener is everything I have read about it! If so, I guarantee I will be SHOUTING the word from the school rooftop to the faculty at my school... "SPEND YOUR ALLOCATION ON THIS MACHINE!" "STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE EXPENSIVE ELECTRIC SHARPENERS THAT EAT YOUR STUDENT'S PENCILS!" "HERE IS THE ANSWER!"
ReplyDeleteand I will post a sign in the faculty lounge!
LOL, Yeah, It's that big of a deal at an elementary school!
You just have to be an elementary teacher to understand LOL

I was the most popular classroom last year, after I got this!!! Consequently, I'd love a new one (for selfish reasons-- for me only :) :) :) However, they did all come by to see it and use it because I was always celebrating and cheering about my new sharpener! Thank you for the chance to win a new one!! kelly.turk@browardschools.com

ReplyDeleteI have been teaching for 6 years and I easily go through 2 pencil sharpeners per year. I hate electric pencil sharpeners, so I got our custodian to mount an "old school" manual pencil sharpener in my classroom. That ended up eating up all of my students' pencils as well! I have never tried this awesome pencil sharpener you speak so highly of, Amy, but it sounds like I'll be pretty lucky if I win it! It also seems that I should just go ahead and order one now, while I'm thinking about it! Now... which color...........??? :)
ReplyDeletePlease. Let. Me. Win. I need to regain my sanity from hearing everyday: "the pencil sharpener at my pencil again"'
ReplyDeleteAmie L, you're the winner! Congrats and thanks to all who entered! I hope you'll check back on The Art of Teaching for practical and inspiring teacher tips.
ReplyDeleteAmie L, send me an email at sheetsar@yahoo.com with your shipping info and choice of pencil sharpener color.
